With Sant Joan Despí's Town Hall we have done three intranet projects. Each one of them for different departments, basically improving their internal processes and make their way of working to be faster.
Social action department
This developement consisted on the creation of a common platform that allows to have all information related to help from the state to people with dependency, centralized in one place.
That tool allows for the import of data received by the administration, and also access and processing of aid given by different social organizations that work in the department.
In the software developed using Drupal the most important factor was usability, because the different agents will work with many different people and need their interaction to be as simple and fast as possible. There was also a module that allowed the import of data from excell files to personal data entries in a simple and quick way.
Youth Department
For this department, Atenea tech made an intranet with Drupal, for managing and controlling objectives.
The initial need was to have tool that was better than an excel spreadsheet, and the possibility to have a general vision of each year’s objectives. With the tool we developed, you can have in each moment an exhaustive control over the percentages of progress in each item, so you can better decide where to act for the complete consecution of the objectives.
We used Drupal 6 and an extensive use of the views module, for exporting data in CSV for its posterior use. We also used the rules module, for sending alerts and collecting quarterly information.
Department of new citizenship
The development consists on an application that collects information from surveys made to immigrants that just arrived. This data is then exported to a database of the City Hall for posterior use of it.
Technically, we used Drupal 6 and an intensive use of the views module, for exporting all information to a CSV.
