Sant Boi de Llobregat City Council

Sant Boi de Llobregat is a municipality in the Barcelona metropolitan area, located in the Baix Llobregat region, with over 84,000 inhabitants.

The Atenea tech team developed the initial project for its corporate website. Currently, they handle the

maintenance and support of the system. Its main features are:

Homepages, Listings, and Pages

Content types are grouped into these three categories. Homepages (main, secondary, mayor's page, procedures page) display elements that link to listings and pages. Listings (news, events, charts) enumerate content classified according to the desired taxonomy terms. The pages

(basic, activities, chart, FAQ...) display the information.

Editing permissions management by taxonomy

Content is categorized using taxonomy terms to be displayed on specific homepages and listings. Editor users are only allowed to use a set of themes. This way, it's possible to determine where they can publish content and what content they can edit or delete.

Charts implemented with React, D3, and Vix with data retrieval from Google Drive

A React library was integrated that implements a set of charts of up to 23 different types. These can be created within the system as content pages and retrieve their data from spreadsheets in Google Drive.

Complex workflow with publishing scheduling and future revisions

Using the contributed Scheduled module and the core Workflow and Content Moderation modules, a workflow was developed that allows editors to create drafts of already published content and unpublish any that they wish. It also allows scheduling publication while always respecting the workflow and permissions of the editor users.

Advanced Search Engine with Corrections and Suggestions

An advanced search engine was implemented, using the contributed Search API module and the Apache SOLR indexing server.

This allows customization of how the search engine works, what content is indexed, and how the results are displayed.

It also corrects misspelled text and suggests keywords to the user.

Accessibility

The Atenea tech team ensured technical accessibility and trained the communications team to improve the accessibility of the site's content.
